18 Months

I say it every month but I truely can't believe I have a 1.5 year old. He's not a baby any longer, he's a toddler. It seems impossible. I'm so happy yet incredibly sad. I'm in love with this little boy we (and God) created. I'm always in total awe of him.

No matter where we go, I always have at least one person comment on how adorable or well behaved he is. It makes my heart smile. All I can do is agree because he really is. There's something about him that moves people. He sure is a gift from God. I have yet to know his purpose in life but I can't wait to find out what it is.

His Grandma was here for almost 2 weeks and we went to a little Fall Festival where he saw tons of bounce houses (still too little to enjoy), kids, dogs, guys riding bikes & doing tricks on them, some farm animals, and a litte kid bike. He had so much fun at all the new things he was seeing.

Gotta take a break for a small snack.
 Loved the farm animals.
Oh, the bike. He never wanted to leave.
Bowling but kicking it instead of throwing it.
Grandma and Mom with Mr PGA
On the train. This kid LOVES the train.
Cute family picture.

We then went to the pumpkin farm where he got to enjoy the tractor and feeding cows and goats.

 Cutest pig face

He loved feeding the goats and cows.

Picked out a pumpkin all by himself.

 And decorated it with Mommy.

You weight 26 lbs (52%), 31 inches (15%) and 19.5 cm's head circumference (90%). Sorry buddy, you're going to be a shorty but at least you have a big brain. It's no wonder you are so beyond smart!

You can snort like a Rhino, make a bee sound, and laugh when asked. Both are hilarious.

You now like to hold things under your chin and take your hands away...balls, tissues, etc.

You absolutely LOVE to play outside no matter where it is. Seeing other kids at the park excite you even if you don't play with them. Watching them play is satisfaction enough for you.

Your blankey has become your BFF when you're tired. You sleep with a couple, you hold one while we read books before bed and you like to hold it in the mornings while you watch cartoons and try to wake up.

Jungle Junction is your favorite show right now. You hold your right arm up for Elyvan (elephant) until we turn it on.

School buses, trucks, city buses, motorcycles, you name it, you love it. You're a total boy and it makes your Momma proud. School buses are your favorite though. If we see once when we're driving, I'll point it out and then you ask for more as if I can make them magically appear. If only I could, honey.

Dad taught you how to catch. You haven't perfected it yet but you're really good at it. And kicking...forget about it. You'll either be a pro soccer player or an NFL kicker. I hope for the latter of the two but no matter what, we'll love you more than you'll ever know.

New foods you like are scrambled eggs, cucumbers and RAISINS. You could eat raisins all day. You love shoving as many as you can into your mouth. You're also a big fan of peanut butter on bread.

How could I forgot to add that you went to your first parade and you loved it. Animals, trucks, cheerleaders, clowns, etc. You had a blast.

 Got some flowers for Mom

So little and adorable! He melts my heart.

Preston, you're the greatest gift anyone could ever give me. The love I have for you is overwhelming and sometimes my heart doesn't know how to hold it all. You make us proud and we're so lucky to have you as our child. We love you and we like you!

Many Thanks - Week 2

Day 8: I am thankful for my Mom. Near or far, she's amazing. She's always there for me whenever I need her. She's my best friend and I love her and I like her (a saying from when I was a kid that stuck). You did a great job raising me Mom, and I hope I'm at least half as good to my kid(s).

Day 9: I am thankful for Chiropractors. I have a pretty messed up back and without Chiropractors, I'd be in a lot worse shape.

Day 10: I am thankful for naps. Not for me but for my son. It's nice getting a little "break" even if it's just for 2-3 hours. He's become a GREAT sleeper. (Thank you Lord)

Day 11: I am thankful for the Military, those serving , Vets and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. I also wouldn't have met my husband if it weren't for the military.

Day 12: I am thankful for hot showers and heat in my car. I had to turn it on this morning to get rid of the chill. I was FREEZING. I guess I have adapted to AZ weather because 58 felt like it should have been snowing.

Day 13: I am thankful for my In-laws. They so much for us, I can't ever thank them enough. I'm so glad I didn't get one of those monster-in-law families! Thank you for being so great!

Day 14: I am thankful for my health. The only issue I have is my back and apparently it's a lot worse than I thought. I'm hopeful things  will get better with new treatment. Things could be much worse and I'm thankful they aren't.

Many Thanks: Week 1

November is the month of thanks. People post on Facebook every day what they are thankful for. I've been participating but have been lacking on adding it to my blog.

So, here are my first 7 days of being thankful.

Day 1: The ability to see the world through my child's eyes. Such an amazing thing. It's the little things that excited him....seeing a school bus, watching other kids play, climbing the jungle gym stairs, seeing a cow for the first time, picking "flowers" for his Mommy, riding a train, etc. He makes me appreciate what good things are left in this world.

Day 2: I'm thankful to have had my Mom here for the past 10 days to enjoy her Grandson. Having her live in NY while we're in AZ is hard. Both she and my son love spending time together.

Day 3: I'm thankful for my husband who does a lot for our family. He loves our son so much and he makes me proud.

Day 4: I'm thankful for AZ's "winter" weather. For 6 months I complain about how hot it is and can't wait for cooler weather.  Now that it's finally somewhat here, I'm so happy we get to go out and enjoy it. Mr PGAmadorable is in heaven when he's outside.

Day 5: I am thankful for my amazingly beautiful, smart, sweet and healthy baby boy. He gives life a new meaning. He brings SO much joy to not only me and his Dad but to everyone he meets. My heart explodes with how much love I have for him. I love you my sweet boy.

Day 6: I'm thankful for my right to vote and I've already exercised my right. I am also thankful this election is almost over!

Day 7: I am thankful for my faith in God even when I question some of the things He does. He's a powerful "Man" and I'm not sure where I'd be without Him in my life.

Halloween 2012

My sweet boy loved Halloween this year. Last year he was 5 months old and as you can assume, he couldn't have cared less. It was past his bed time and he got to the point where he just cried. I think he lasted maybe 3 or 4 houses before we had to call it quits.

This year, on the other hand, was much different. At first, he wasn't quite sure what this was all about. Luckily we went with another boy who is 5 weeks older than Mr. PGAmadorable so they kind of fed off of each other.

We showed them how to knock on the door and hold out their buckets and after maybe 2 houses, they were off and runnin'. Mr. PGA was running and skipping through the streets and loved seeing all the other kids. He was having so much fun and making us laugh so hard.

 Cutest skeleton!

He really is having fun. lol
 With his friend, Bam Bam.
Picking a piece of candy and putting it in his bucket.

 Loved holding Jenny's hand.
 TOO CUTE!
Takine their 2 pieces of candy.

Not my best picture but still cute!
 MMM Eating a butterfinger.
 Just playing

Throwing A Baby Shower

I'm going to be an Auntie and I couldn't be more excited. My SIL is having a little boy sometime in January or late December. She's due Jan 20th so who knows when he'll actually decide to come.

Anyways, I threw my SIL a baby shower a couple weeks ago. She and her husband met due to her being a flight attendant so what other theme would be more fitting than airplanes?

I made the "It's a Boy" sign with the Mommy-to-be.
These cookies were SO yummy. Made by Something Sweet by Tay.

I also made the letter "L". Just wrapped it in yarm and hot glued the airplane on.

This game was a huge hit.
You can see the Jeopardy game under the row of balloons. I also made the airplane bags as centerpieces.

Baggage claim sign for the presents.

I think it was a huge hit. Everyone had a great time, loved the decorations and I believe my SIL loved it as too. Well, at least I hope she did. I was very proud of it all. And I couldn't have done it without my MIL who did most of the shopping for everything I couldn't bring with me.
