You just turned 21 months and had to go into time-out for the first time on 2.21.13.
Recently, you've become obsessed with movies; Disney Cars, Finding Nemo, and Shrek are your three favorites. We moved the DVD player upstairs into the loft with all your toys.
Wednesday night we were upstairs, I was getting your bath ready and cleaning up a little bit when you kept touching the DVD player. I would tell you to not touch it and then I'd turn around to you opening the disk slot.
I finally decided we had to do something else. I picked you up, put you by our bedroom doors and told you not to get up. That was short lived. You cried, got up and ran into our closet. I brought you back to the time out spot and you just laughed.
It's so hard to be mad at your sweet face so I took your picture and smiled back. Maybe one day you'll get the idea that time-out isn't for fun.

21 Months
My little boy, you get sweeter and funnier every day. You blow our minds. I don't know how many times a day I tell you I love you or how cute you are. Your Daddy likes to call you 'angel baby' because you're an amazing gift from God.
Things you love:
Movies/cartoons. All of a sudden you're really into the tv. You love Disney Cars and Finding Nemo. Those are your two favorites. You do the sign for driving for Cars and you say 'mimi' for Nemo. We found out you loved these on our drive to Modesto, CA. You did great.
Dancing. You put your right arm up and kind of do a gallop. We say it's your version of Gangum Style. It's hilarious.
Kids especially older ones. You're not a huge fan of kids your age. You'd much rather hang out with the older kids. You had a blast in Modesto with all of your cousins. I wish you were able to see them more often.
Cars. Seeing them, pretending to drive them, playing with them, etc. You're a total boy.
Take pictures. You don't like when I try to take pictures of you but you like to take pictures with Mom's new iPhone.
Things you don't love:
Getting your diaper changed. Oh my gosh, you hate this. You whine the whole time.
Riding in the car. All of a sudden you really hate this. I think the main reason is because the sun shines in your face. We were planning to wait much longer after 2 before we turned your seat around but I think we may face it forward at your second birthday.
Other things about you:
You're ALL about Mom. When Mom and Dad are together, you want no one but Mom. I can't leave your sight without you crying for me. It gets very tiresome.
You can navigate an iPad or iPhone with no problems. You have a few favorite apps that you really enjoy playing.
You store food in your right cheek sometimes. It's either you don't like what we give you or you don't want any more. You then point to your cheek for me to scoop it out for you.
You peed on your new potty on 2/6/13 for the first time. You love to read on your potty. It's so cute!
You're new favorite word is 'no'. We feel like you play a tape and put it on repeat sometimes.
I continue to get compliments about you everywhere we go about how sweet or cute you are. You're such a friendly little boy who loves people.

He loves the park
The things that excite a toddler fascinate me. Going to the park, playing with older boys, pulling his wagon, running grown the street either to catch mom or to run away from mom, chasing the dog. You name it.
Last night we went to two parks by our house. He played with some kids and he loved it. Most of the time, he'll just watch them and kind of do his own thing. He had a big bouncy ball that he likes to kick. We were heading home but he stopped in the grass and started playing with a boy his age. Then four older boys were trying to play football but Preston kept kicking his ball into them. One of the boys started playing with him. He loved it. He was laughing and when I told him we had to g I home, he started to cry. It was so sweet seeing him interact with the older boys. They were so good with him too.

20 Months
What, only 4 months until you are TWO?!?! Unreal. Just.Unreal.
You're still not a big talker and prefer to use your sign language more than anything but you're getting there. You try really hard to say new words and if you can't say something, you say 'bop'. It's pretty cute.
Words you can say are: no, Mimi for Grandma, Nana, Papa, down, bow, cheese, blue, more, baby, and bye
You do this new thing when you wanted to be picked up or put up onto something like the counter or couch: you gallop.
You love to help Mommy put dishes or clothes away and to put dirty clothes into the washer. You grab your step stool and bring it in right infront of the washer. Sometimes you get agood throw bit wild and the clothes go over the washer.
Newest thing is that you close your eyes for a few seconds and stop whatever you're doing then you open them really slowly.
You love your train table and bike that you got from Christmas.
You dance a lot especially when we play with your Mickey guitar.
You know to say 'cheese' when we take your picture although you're not really into getting your picture taken.
You love to run in circles and then stop and watch the room spin. You smile the whole time.
You had 2 big falls this month. One into your train table and the other was into the wall in the spare room upstairs. It looked like someone beat you up. I didn't like taking you out of the house until they healed. Luckily, it didn't take long.
You love getting adjusted by the Chiropractor. You do so well it blows my mind.
You love to weigh yourself after your bath. You get out, point to the scale and make 2 fists with your hands and have a huge smile on your face.
You got your hair cut for a 3rd time and you did great!
You have a special bond with your Papa.
We went to the Mormon Temple to see the Christmas lights. It was really cold but you loved running around and making friends.

You got your bottom left canine right before Christmas and your bottom left right after. You now have all of your teeth besides your 2 year old molars.
Wearing mostly 18 month clothing with some 12 month stuff. You're pushing 24 month shirts, I think.
