The Amadorables: Shamrock Farms

I get daily emails from multiple discount websites like groupon, totsy, babyhalfoff, moolala, livingsocial, dealchicken, etc. Most of the time I just delete them without even viewing them. I also belong to way too many 'groups' on facebook which I usually ignore most posts from also. One day I happened to look at a post about an awesome deal on dealchicken. It was for a 1 hour farm tour at Shamrock Farms which also included a hot dog, chips, milk or water and ice cream. I was sold but I needed to 'sell' my husband.

He's generally not easy to 'sell' on things like this. However, this time, it was much easier than I thought. After looking at the deal he said 'lets do it'. Maybe it was because he showed cattle as a kid or the fact that our son loves animals. Whatever the reason was, I was ecstatic that he was in.

I'm not sure who was more excited for this but it turned out to be a success. We got to see all the cows, heffers (females who have not yet had babies), feed calves, play in their little play area and watch the cows get milked. It was fascinating and informative and a lot of fun. I'd actually love to do it again.
